nice,,but that set up is much less forgiving for full manual operation,it needed to be dead balls on not to stumble? at lower rpm's,which im sure u already knew that,,it probably would have done the same thing on a single 4,,but like u said it just needed a little more tune,,its looking like my linkage and fuel lines wont be here until next week,,so,finishing up assembly with parts like hollow squirter bolts/cams/adjustments 4 final install..im going to route the fuel line out the back and up the passenger side like stock to connect to the AN hose from regulator..when looking at it at the shows you'll think they r stock carbs,,right up until i stand on it

carbs r ready to go..installed them today on the car,,waiting on linkage and fuel log from promax due thursday, they look new,,rebuilt them myself,,AN hose will route from the back carb, circle around and go up to the fuel line just like original, only with AN hose,#6.shaker carb base clears at this point, front carb.plenty of clerance in back. but need the banjo fitting installed to be sure..31 squirters, hollow squirter bolts.blue cam in the #2 slot,78 jets outers,68 center.stock was 82's outer.68 center,.everything looks good, will provide pics next weekend..

is there no one else running these?i read some guys were using them on there tow rig??r they that rare??original direct connection/hustle stuff over the counter parts.i wonder how long they were made?the concept sounds great.in a modified from stock kind of way..just looking for any kind of real world experiance..otherwise in a couple of weeks i will be providing my own, weather permitting.,none for sale ANYWHERE that i can see...would love to get my hands on the booklet that came with the original carbs..

Are the modern fuel fittings worth having to cut into the aircleaner base for clearance purposes?  Still looking forward to hearing how good these work on your engine, I'm still trying to decide exactly what I'm going to build, but right now a stroker 440 six pack is at the top of my list.

theres no other way to plumb it without hitting the shaker base plate,,regardless of what lines u run using a shaker base which angles down sharply at that location a notch has to be made, its just that close, the air cleaners were not made for these carbs.even though they r chrsyler parts.there worth the cutting.. i have read nothing negative about them, much the opposite,,if u have them your ahead of the game,,if u want them, good luck on finding a set for sale.iv'e been looking.. the patch is already fabbed up will rivet it on tomorrow..no one will ever see it.  u know,,in regards to your new build,,i decided not to get to crazy this time with the motor,,my last car had a 850+ horse hemi that on the street was just wasted power,,this one is a good 500 horse setup and if not careful it will put me in a ditch fast,,gets squirrely when shifting to second at HALF throttle..i guess the rest is like say the new mustang with 650 horses, good for bragging rights at happy hour....but i'll take the new throttle response!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fired it up today!can u say throttle response!!!!!could not fine tune it though because of fuel wetting at the banjo fittings.not running out but enough to cause concern if left running,,had to keep shutting off the electric fuel pump once the carbs were full,,aux toggle switch act fuel pump  fired right up,love the 3 idle screws.need to get more aluminum washers for the banjo fittings next week to do more tuning..i dont miss the vacuum outboard lag,,when the linkage enages the outboards it wants to wind,,no hesitation,no stumble,no back fire thru carbs,,in fact at one point during throttle testing blipping the pedal it hit 6000!!whoops!!lol.

update
runs really good but the fuel rail/banjo fitting setup sucks,,went thru 20+ aluminum crush washers trying to seal it up but gas just keeps on weeping out the fitting ever so slightly,,no good..i can see stripping out the threads on the bowls if i continue trying to crush the aluminum washers enough to try and stop it,,what a @#$%^&* setup banjo's are for fuel bowls..
will convert it over to AN 6 fittings coming out the bowls ind. into a fuel log into the primary line..next week.no banjo's.oh well,,it wasn't going out of the garage anytime soon anyway.minor problem.nice to here the solid lifter 440 run again,,still winter here..tony

I installed flare fittings & bent up steel fuel lines ,, it cleared the air cleaner easily as well , I do not have a  picture unfortunatly .

Yes , I bent regular 5/16 steel tubing & used brass tees , the front line I had to bring out over the return spring

thanks
i have had bad luck in the past with stock style rigid fuel lines,,mainly trying to get them tight enough after multiple times removing and re installing while tuning the carbs putting undue stress on the bowls/cheap/soft pot metal..i just placed an order thru summit for a magna fuel 3 port fuel log and related #6AN ind fuel lines..each carb will be independant on the lines,,will have to fab up a bracket on the passenger side for the log to mount and plumb the lines from there and it should be good to go..car is just about ready for road testing now,,the firm feel box stage 2 feels just like my rack and pinion steering on my ram 1500..
