Engine bay upgrade.
« on: December 31, 2011 - 05:54:11 PM »
These are before and after pics. They didn't make an engine cover for the 3.5, but I found one.  There is a polished panel on the hood as well as the header panel in front of the engine, although that might be tough to see.

That's the neighborhood POS. It has lived a hard life, and hasn't moved since the middle of last year.

Mike, is that a mirror on the inside of the hood or a reflection?  :dunno:

It's a polished aluminum panel. Same thing up front on top of the header panel.

Gotta have bling!   :naughty:

Looks good.
Wasn't there a way to keep or modify the strut tower brace with the cover?

That's what I was thinking too? It looks great but I don't know if I would have given up the strut brace to do it?

That there is the $64,000 question.   :grinyes:

I asked the manufacturer of the engine cover if it would fit with a strut tower brace. He said that question was asked alot, but he didn't have a Guinea pig as of yet. So I was the Guinea pig. I thought I could do some trimming along the back, and it might work. NO way. I would have to cut the engine cover in half to use a strut tower brace. It would look stupid then.   :dunno:
