Dash pad protection?
« on: January 01, 2012 - 04:22:48 PM »
Hey guys,

OK, so I spent a ton of cash on a new dash pad from Dave at Roseville and it looks great.  Well it looks great on my floor, I haven't installed it yet.  The reason I am going to replace my old dash is because my old dash has cracked from sun exposure.  My car will be garage kept and only parked in the sun at car shows and the like.  What do you guys use on your dash pads to keep the sun from messing them up again.  I really don't want to buy a new dash pad again in 10 years.

Thanks

If your car is garage kept, don't worry about it.

Armour All on mine since I got it in 1978 and it still looks great.  I've read bad things about Armour All over the past few years but it definately has not harmed my dash in any way.

I use Adam's Leather Cleaner and Leather Conditioner. It has a UV protectant in it to protect against the sun.

The last 303 protectant I bought was through Amazon. You can go on their website and see if there are any local dealers.
