'71 GK6 with white trim? Do you have pics?
« on: January 04, 2012 - 01:22:20 AM »
Figured this is the route I am going since I can verify this on my car.  But I would love to see someone's finished car in the meantIme.  Anyone have this combo?

You sure do have a lot of pictures Ken!

Sweet color.  I bet it would be much more bold with the white top and interior!

Looks sweet Ken.  I do enjoy this color it has grown on me.  I love the high impact colors too
But this on it's own right is unique.

I have no "proof" my car ever had a vynal roof.  I slip of Paper that had a bogus fender tag displacement said it did.  I thought I had chanels and holes for the trim that were bondoed and painted over.  I don't so the white vynal is out. I can prove that the car was GK6 with white stripes though.

Which according to the book I have was only an option for white, or tan interiors.  All my interior is tan.  But '70 components in a '71.... :dunno:   Reslly getting strange in the shop trying to decifer this.

As you have stated, you would have known if it had a vinyl roof from chrome trim or holes in the body work to fit chrome trim for the roof.
