Which headers for clearance?
« on: January 07, 2012 - 12:20:11 AM »
My 340 hedman headers are the lowest part of my car. Lately they have been kissing speed bumps. What kind of headers should I switch to to get some clearance?

Tti touch steering box and torsion bar on my challenger. Still trying to figure out a way to bend adjust etc

Seems to be a common issue with headers. Engine even has a strap stopping it from torquing to much under load. Spring time we will heat me up and do some bending. The clearance issue is very minor but annoying

Try an 1/8" shim on the motor mount. You'd be surprised what an 1/8" shim will do!  :2thumbs:
You think yours is a challenge.... try a 440! :grinyes:

I am running Doug's headers on my Challenger with power steering and they were the easiest headers to install I have ever done, no fitment issues what so ever, they just went right in. It should be noted though I am running a high torque mini starter, so not sure about stock starter clearance.

I actually have some coated headers. No miles and really nice. I will check those out.

Well the coated headers I have are for a truck, so no good. Tti are pricey. I'll check Doug's.
