    What are the holes in this picture for?

    I was working in the trunk for the fuel filler and noticed these holes below the screwdriver. I have no memory of what they're for. Any thoughts/pictures?

    Not sure but Mine had the exhaust resonator hanger bolted through those holes.

    That's right. I ran across that part recently and couldn't remember what it was for but it looked familiar.

    Just checked mine. 

    Those are tail pipe hangers bracket hole.

    Should have another set on the other side.

    Well the spot is on the other side but there are no holes. May have to make some when I get around to the exhaust.

    Did you have the trunk pan replaced on that side before?  Do the replacements come with holes?  :clueless:

    no they do not. No holes at all in the trunk floors.

    Nope the floor wasn't replaced. It was a 318 car so it probably originally had a single exhaust.

    If your car was a 318, then it should've had at least 2 holes on the passenger side in the trunk for the bracket.

    Regardless of the eshaust system it came with.

    I disagee , the slant 6 car had the exhaust on the left only so no holes in the passengerside

    I agree .... my car was originally a 318 car .... holes on the right only and the stampings for the other holes I believe were there.   We just drilled them out .... same location, but on the driver side.   Now have plates on both sides to hand the tail pipes (without resonators).
