I mistakenly posted THIS story in the classic cuda & challenger forum so i will paste the link to it here. It is about the new Challenger being replaced by the "NEW CUDA"

Someone posted the factory drawing and it looks like  they are LED's.  There is NO separate part number for the bulbs....just a part number for the entire panel.

That sorta reminded me of some of the older Cadillac STS cars that had LEDs across the trunk lid for the 3rd brake light and you would see some of those cars with LEDs out here and there.  Would imagine it's too hard to replace 1 LED on thos old STS cars or any newer car as they are probably in a circuit board of some sort...  :dunno:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

Phil in New England-Massachusetts  Always thank God for what you have!

I am happy that the Challenger is the 'only' two door Dodge muscle car in the line up. Chargers have always been big and heavy looking and a four door is perfect for the guy who wants a Challenger but has kids and needs four doors. The Dart was never a real version of the muscle car, even though you could get a hemi (50 only). I love Darts-so don;t get me wrong, but lots out there need a good mileage compact and in my opinion, using the Dart name is cool. AND yes if I had a Dart or Charger I might see things differently, but comoe on, the CHarger couldn't even catch Steve MeQueen's mustang without blowing up ((LOL) And yes I do fel for the Cuda guys, whi I think shouldget a special edition of the Challenger

I know, I know....
as far as a muscle car, I am not even saying it should be a muscle car, but just have some personality, some MOPAR feel

avoid what came along in the 80's OUR MOPAR name stuck on an IMPORT or IMPORT DESIGN (looking) car.

Keep the "Rice" outa the design

Unfortunately, the deal with Fiat that kept our beloved manufacturer alive is also the one that will be producing cookie-cutter cars like the new Dart for at least the next handful of years (which is apparently 2015 when the Gov't restrictions on the auto unions end and the American Auto Industry once again descends into anarchy.)

We might want to enjoy them while we can.

BTW, I WISH the Dart was a rebadged Nissan GT-R....  :)

It is instead, (and unfortunately in my opinion,) a rebadged Alpha Romeo Giulietta

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited - Trail Rated - 4.7L V8, Auto

Didn't cookie-cutter cars keep Chrysler afloat in the eighties...?
Now we have cookie-cutter cars, but also kick-ass cars at the same time.
I don't see a big problem here.

BTW, I would like to see an AWD Avenger SRT6, 3.5L Pentastar V6 with turbos, taking the fight to Subaru and the likes.
Or a AWD Dart SRT4. No problem with "rice" in the design. Adapt or die.
Panther Pink '72 Challenger Rallye.

:iagree:  I lived through the era where the highest performance vehicle you could get was a FWD 4 banger with SHELBY across the windshield.   They were fun for what they were, and they kept the company afloat, but they weren't MUSCLE CARS.   I owned a Neon SRT-4 and again it was fun for what it was.  It was the fastest thing I could afford at the time and led to me being able to enjoy my new Challenger muscle car.

If a rebadged Alfa Romeo keeps Chrysler afloat long enough to keep building Challengers, Chargers and SRT-anything I fully support it.  I personally won't buy one (Unless life throws me another curveball and they have an SRT flavored one) but I'm glad they are doing something to bring back the customer base they lost with the Caliber.  The Neon (especially SRT-4) has a cult following that the Caliber couldn't cash in on.  If they market the Dart right, and give it some nuts, it could be a contender for the void the Neon left, and lead more young folk into the Mopar fold.

BTW, since Fiat and Alfa Romeo are Italian, aren't we technically talking about pasta instead of rice?   :poopoke:
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

1973 Dodge Challenger 318 "Brown Bomber"
2012 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic Blackberry Pearl.
2001 Jeep Wrangler locked, lifted and lighted.  "Jeep is a registered trademark of Chrysler Corporation"
