I know that the factory didn't mix A/C with a Shaker set up, so I may be asking the impossible, but hope not.   I need to know if anyone else out there has done this successfully?   If so, how did you route the CARB AIR cable through the firewall.  Thoughts??  If possible PICS would be great.   I am fussing with where to drill out the firewall .... uggh.

I am planning to run a SANDEN compressor down low when it comes time to plumb in the A/C (not this year probably).

Thanks in advance for your feedback .... CHAPS!

Sorry Topcat ..... I should have rephrased that.   I realize that it is a hole, but need to know where on the firewall.  Do you have another pic you could post that shows exactly where you brought it through?   I am presuming you have A/C ...... and that the cable is in the stock location?

Thanks again ..... CHAPS

I don't have any pics of an A/C car that was a shaker with A/C. Ever seen that?

That picture is the exact location the factory did. Use that as your best judgement where it should be.
Or maybe someone here can reply...

they never made an E body with a shaker with AC, the compressor would be in the way.

I know that Dave...a touch of sarcasm was what I was getting at.

Guys .... as originally stated, I know that the factory didn't mix these two.   I was hoping to find out from those that have added it, where it best fits with the larger Heater box, etc .....   Just thought I should clarify.   Hoping someone has been successful in making this work???

I may have to wing it I guess?   Thanks ..... CHAPS

Hey Topcat .... what else runs inside the same hole along with the shaker cable in your picture??  Is it an accessory or reverse light wire perhaps?   An added wire for something non standard?

Thanks ... CHAPS

That's a 71' only picture of a Shaker.
In 71', they had a manual choke on Hemi's. So it had an additional cable running thru the same grommet.

OKay .... great.   Thanks for clarifying.    Seems that there are no others out there that have done or are planning to do what I am up to ...... shaker and a/c (using Sanden ..... not original Mopar compressor)!!   Maybe I am nuts for going down this path ..... but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Cheers ..... CHAPS
