The stock manifolds were 440 hp/6pk ones.  Year one sells the pipes for around 110 or so. Accurate sent me the resonators and mufflers, along with the over the axle tubes and bracket/ hangers. The tips were originals. It chokes the engine down running a full exhaust, but I wasn't trying to make a screamer out of it.  Just stock. Quiet ride inside :2thumbs:

Ordered Mine, saving money picking it up directly. Comes with everything from tips up to the where bolts to Hp manifolds from Accurate exhaust, I think I am slowly becoming a mopar purist.

The only thing I didn't buy from Accurate was the drivers side hanger bracket...the two piece one that bolts to the floorpan.(half of it is visable behind the rear seat)  Accurate doesn't sell that bracket.  They just have a "one size fits all" bolt-on bracket.  I bought the correct one from Dales Cuda Shop.

The hangers and clamps will come zinc plated.  The orignals were bare metal.  Most people will like the extra protection of the zinc even though it's not completely correct.

Yep perfectly described !!,I just drove down there to Roseburg and bought the complete system , but will be getting the mount from dales cuda shop like you said. Great group of guys they layed the whole system out for me and gave me a little history and proper installation techniques. I believe the owner will be at carlisle this year.

So i read through this, but still thinking through it all.   :clueless:  So what would sound better, headers- resonator-muffler or headers-muffler? i dont want real obnoxious loud, but i want people to know i have a bit more than the normal car.

Well, my understanding is if you like the good muscle car sound that you will really hear from the rear of the car and won't drone out the crew compartment then go with the resonators and mufflers. You'll hear her going not coming!! The resonators are small not very big! I am happy with the system will be installing everything when it gets a little warmer outside. I hate the winter and the cold!! I would be at home in Arizona.

I've posted this video before but it's worth posting again.  I love the sound of this 340 Cuda.  This car has headers and flowmaster mufflers.(no resonators)  40 series flowmasters will be very loud....the 50 series would be a better choise IMO.   I don't know what series mufflers are on this car.  Maybe it says in the comments.

It all depends on what sound you're after.

Considering my 'Cuda wont' be a DD when it's done, that's the sound I want!  I want to be heard coming and going.  FYI, I purchased a '70 Cuda new from the factory in Oct '69.  383, 4-speed car.  The stock exhaust was so quiet you could not hear it.  I had the resonators cut out and replaced with straight pipe.  Made a slight difference but not that much.  Also, didn't pick up any drone that I remember.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.  Matching numbers 440 U Code, 4 speed pistol grip, Rallye dash, AM 8 Track, Shaker hood, 15 inch rallye wheels, Dana 60 4.10, Super Track Pak.  One of 134 - 440 "U" coupes codes built in 1970 and one of 100 - 440 Super Track Paks built in 1970.

(Edited 8-1-17)

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

I got the full kit everything from the hookups to the manifolds back to the tips. The universal mount for the driver rear I will not use I will be ordering one soon from dales cuda shop. All of the other mounts are really close to factory. Better than factory! Has all the bends that the factory put in them to clear the 4 speed linkage, the sterring, etc. No beating on them to make em work. Motor mounts need to be properly spaced with the engine more to the right side of the car just like the factory installed them.

Accurate Owner told me to install tighten from the rear to the front . He said people will buy the kit and tighten from front to back which makes it difficult to set/space properly.

Yes, have the entire system just snugged up but not tight.  Use some jack stands to keep everything where you want it.  Then tighten everything up starting at the rear.
