That looks like the one sold on Barrett Jackson but I liked the way it looked and it would have sold like hotcakes!! Barracuda or cuda model. I like the way it has a shapely rump much like the 70 - 74 cudas chally's not the flat butt on the current challenger, Sorry new chally guys the cars are great!!.. but they have a flat butt! :poopoke: :stirpot:

I think with me it is because i fell in love with the deeper inset of the tailpanel and the rounded curvature of the lower valence panel and how the area behind the rear wheels seems to set the car to pounce along with the beauty of the panel bodyline. Almost as if the car was first constructed from a very sleek paints stroke that became the body line later pulled out and accented. This could have been built upon further with more accentuation. Rolling to the under side.

The new design is not bad but it looks like it is lower and not jacked to pounce. Not as sexy!!

They are nice cars the best looking one out there for sure but could have been perfect!! JMHO

I will brace for dogpile!! :bricks1:

The Cuda pictured was just a custom car done by a shop and has nothing to do with a production car.

There is not going to be a new Cuda.  It is all just speculation from Chinese whispers.   The Challenger has brand recognition, not the Cuda.

There is not going to be a Cuda.  No way, no how.  My insiders at Chrysler have said there isn't a reason too with so few actual people knowing what a Cuda is.

There is room to keep the chally going. Lots of things designers and engineers can do to keep it competitive with the camaro's and mustangs. They could sleek her out a bit, shed a few pounds, finer details in the lighting and glass angles. I don't see the chally going away, she's just getting started.

Wekk Mr Norms has a retro cuda but way to much money to get one 25k over the price of the challenger and that is not realistic in today economy.Would love to see chrysler do the same as mr norms but at the challenger price. At that point i would buy one.

I was in the Chrysler tech center yesterday and asked one of my contacts.  He gave a little grin and said you never know.  At least he didn't say absolutely not.  He did agree that it could not be badged as a Plymouth 'cuda these days and didn't know how they would badge it if it happened.  I thought they could possibly badge it as a Chrysler "Plymouth 'cuda", with Plymouth in the model name -- might be able to do that.

I have to wonder... what would be Chrysler's financial incentive to tool up a whole new car. Especially with the Plymouth marquee already gone.

This just seems more like wishful thinking from 'Cuda owners than anything else. lol

I would love to see a new 'Cuda but they should have thought of that before they killed Plymouth. A Chrysler or Dodge 'Cuda goes over about as well as a Jeep New Yorker or Chrysler Challenger or a Dodge AMX would. It would just be wrong imo.

As of now Chrysler does not own the name 'Cuda:

http://www.allpar.com/news/index.php/2011/11/trademark-updates-new-dodge-wont-be-hornet-cuda-refuse?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+AllparChryslerDodgeAndJeepNews+%28Allpar+Chrysler%2C+Dodge%2C+and+Jeep+News%29

Speculation is that they might call it Barracuda, but they may not own that name either as Mazda was using it in parts of Europe.

Goodness, If they start making a new 'Cuda, I am going to have to get a second job!  The first thing that I will have to do is build on to the garage to make room for it,  I had better get busy saving money.  This is getting ridiculous!  LOL

One 575HP third Generation 440 Hemi engine in a Plum Crazy car please.  I will find a way...

What is the problem with Dodge Cuda or Chrysler Cuda or even Fiat Cuda, (well, NOT Fiat Cuda)?
Everyone would just call it a Cuda anyway.
Do you tell people you have a "Plymouth Cuda" or a "Dodge Challenger"?  How often do you hear someone refer to a "Chevrolet Camaro" or a "Ford Mustang"?  They are Cuda, Challenger, Camaro and Mustang...period.

Who cares? Just build the darn thing! :woohoo:
