You're probably already with the program, but buy and use a rated respirator when spraying current primers and paints. Isocyanates are nasty.
Yup, exercising caution! Can't be too careful nowadays. Probably glow in the dark anyway!
This evening was fairly productive. Pulled the K-member and got it out of the way. I re-painted the rusty trunk lid this afternoon in like 10 minutes and it looks better (i'm practicing on this for when i do the engine bay, and underbody. It feels good to have the project moving again. I did find some rust (nothing major) on a frame rail but it is just surface rust, but will need treating before i paint.
Trying not to get in a hurry, and really taking time to learn how to paint automotive paint. It is an art I guess.
Here are some pictures of this evenings adventures:
Yay, I can get to work in there now that the k-member is gone.
The rear end is on deck now for a good old fashioned blastin/paintin'.
My second attempt ever at painting automotive paint. Trunk was dirty, rusty and corroded. This paintin' thang gonna take some practice. Trying to get good enough to shoot engine bay, trunk, and cabin, and under her meself.. We
shall see.
All in all, I'm a happy doode.. But I will happier when my goal of the Challenger in paint and ready for mechanicals by the end of the year is met. God willing and the creek don't rise.
Stay Mopar my friends!
