 :crying:  Oh, the carnage.....
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

It still has a lot not going for it.  A more desirable year car turned into a lesser desirable year car, for a TV show that not a lot of people still remember, and it is a less popular color.

I guess that it could be priceless to the right person.

i just started re-reading this thread.  what's wrong with late model e-bodys? only e-body snobs use the term "less desirable year". i'll hang with the riff-raff any day while you have your tea and crumpets.

Nothing is wrong with them. But sales prices and collectors have defined the 70 and 71 as the years to have.  I'm also assuming you think the 78-83 Challengers are also as good as the 70-74. Or are you an E-Body Challenger snob?

:iagree:  I didn't mean anything by it.  I like them all, even the 78-83 Challengers are cool in my book.  I was just making a comment based on market value.  I wasn't personally passing judgement.

peace

if i could find a 2nd-gen challenger, i'd probably use it for a daily driver. they were pretty cool little cars.
i'm gonna say about 5-6 years ago, there was one on ebay in north jersey. 5 speed, manual everything.
nice shape too, but i forget what year it was. barely any rust and the interior was in great shape.
i think it sold for 1800. havent seen one since.

no snob here.
