70 Mach 1 Hood pins
« on: January 13, 2012 - 10:15:26 PM »
My plan is to buy a set of Mustang 1970 Mach 1 hood pins - the twist type, and install them on my Challenger. The triangle space in the middle looks like a perfect place to have the Dodge Fratzog laser etched. With careful placement of the pins, you could line them up so the Fratzog is the first thing people see when they look at the hood. Anybody know how big these things really are? How big a hole I'd have to cut in the hood? The bracketry under the hood shouldn't be that big of a deal. It's all nuts and bolts. Just something a little different. Black chromed would look even better!  :ylsuper:

Gumby,

2 5/8" or 67mm hole on my 70 Mustang. Approximately 3 1/8" OD on the hood cups.
Hope this helps.

Thank you fletch!, none around here to look at, and couldn't find specs anywhere.

Cool idea. I was looking at something similiar at one point too. What I didn't like is not having the ability to put a lock on the hood when I was going to be away from the car?
Just a thought? :dunno:
