Once you've got the tool, be careful and slide it under the mldg; pull it along until you feel an obstruction- the clip and then, holding the tool so that the tip is angled up toward the mldg. roll the tool so that the tip pulls the clip towards the centre of the windshield while using a plastic pry tool to pop the mldg up and off the clip. The danger, is that you can get the tip hooked on the glass, not the clip and when you go to pop it, you'll break the w/s. When you've gotten one off, remove the tool and re-insert it just past the clip you've been working on. It doesn't take a lot of force and don't be in a hurry. Good luck
