Power Steering Rebuild.
« on: January 15, 2012 - 06:18:03 PM »
I've pulled the steering gear off the K member and it is currently sitting in de-greaser. I don't recall it leaking when I got the car. Should I go ahead and buy  a rebuild kit for it or clean it up and re-install once I get the car painted and hope that it doesn't leak?

I think it is in good shape, but was also wondering  if a rebuild would tighten the steering up a bit? I recall the car having some play in the steering.. Any advice most welcome.

Power steering box:
Send out to Firm Feel and put in a stage 3 kit.   :2cents:

Power steering pump:
You can buy a rebuild kit online.
Fairly easy to rebuild if you want to go that route. Or buy one already re built.
