Metro Parts Company <------------------- BEWARE!!!!!
« on: January 17, 2012 - 09:38:52 PM »
At Monster Mopar this year in Indy, Metro Parts had 1971 Cuda grill for $900 and free shipping. I paid for a grill and was told in would arrive 6-8 weeks. Well here it is January and still no grill. I have made several phone calls to Metro and the lady tells me that only one person can do refunds and he is only in on Thursdays. I have called on two different Thursdays and guess what..now he is out of the country and will call me on Monday. That was over a week ago. All I wanted was to talk to someone about a refund but now I am beyond talking. I filed a complaint with the BBB in Georgia. If anyone is thinking about ordering parts from this company BEWARE of the run around that you could receive. They had no problem taking my money but they will not return a phone call!!!!!!! :swear: :stomp: :swear: :stomp: :swear: :stomp:

If you paid with Visa, you might contact them and see if they will do anything about it. I've heard that they typically side with the buyer. It may be too late but might be worth the call.

I thought they sounded familiar, I'm pretty sure I bought some used Mustang convertible door panels from them years ago.  I looked at a local rating site and they have no ratings, so you could always put one out there expressing your displeasure:

Good luck, paying cash may cost you in the long run, hope not.

I've heard that there is a hold up with this grill coming to market a few things were not quite right so the mold was being reworked. PM Dave at Roseville about it as he is " in the know" about it.

There is a post about it in here somewhere but I can't find it? :pullinghair:
Hope that helps/explains  some?

That sounds right. I know the door panels are currently on a container ship from Asia. I thought I remember hearing that the grilles were coming at the same time.

I would at least think the jerks would call you and at least explain why you haven't received your grill. They got your money and don't want to give it back so instead they make excuses  :swear: I'd be pi$$ed too  :pullinghair:

Chris:
Don't get to alarmed yet as they have always came through for me in the past. I would keep on them calling them and ask when the grills will be in and when your's will ship or ask for the refund again.

Calling them does no good. She keeps telling me that someone will call me back and it never happens. I contacted the Georgia BBB and filed a claim.

The new 71' grilles aren't officially out yet I recall from a post he made earlier.
I believe it's too early to start slamming a company until actual release date is declared.   :2cents:

Be patient. He's probably overseas on work regarding parts.
