Looking for 'Cuda pics in Y9 Tahitian Gold
« on: January 18, 2012 - 09:49:53 PM »
My 74 'Cuda was originally Y9 Tahitian Gold with black interior and top - previous owner changed it to the current blue with white top and interior. My drag track has closed here in Calgary and I am considering finishing the paint and body instead of shaving 10th's - it is currentlly what I call a 3 footer. Would love to see a 'Cuda in Y9 Tahitian Gold as I can only find remnants on the inside of the doors. Honestly not to appealing but............ Other than that prolly gonna go B5 and definitely go back to black top and interior. :clueless:

I'm guessing that Y9 was a darker shade of my Y6 golden haze metallic.

Hood - your car is exactly why I started to again consider the original color  :clueless: Your car looks fantastic!!!!!! I am unsure about anything darker though - and as for resale(which probably will never happen) I don't think will matter as the car is slightly more modified  :cooldancing: :working:

kissalien - I think you have the color and I believe I may have run across this challenger b4. I wonder how many 'Cudas were produced in Y9 as I cannot find a pic. Not that it would look much different, I would have to see it on 'Cuda lines b4 I shelled out the $$$$$ for the Y9. But hey who knows???

Not at the moment - but it is supposed to warm to about 0 this weekend - I will try to pull a panel and take a pic as that is the only place I have spotted a glimpse. It seems this car was completely redone at one time with the exception of 1 door on the inside. I will post as soon as possible.

Yes - lots of changes to go back - but fortuneately everything required is available. Although I don't know if the cost to do so is worthy - and perhaps just sticking with the "my way" approach is the path to continue on. Someday I think I might sell this one as I always have wanted a '71. :money: :2thumbs:  Seems my picture files are too large to post.  :dunno: :clueless:
