« on: January 19, 2012 - 10:16:57 AM »

If you are doing quarters Please post a million pics I am gathering mental data for my own quarter job. I am a quarter panel virgin!!! Will be doing a AMD full factory maybe both will have to clear em out to see what I have to deal with. I am sure there is no rust issues just shoddy repairs and lots of bondo. Someone on here recommended to me the best sub frame connector supplier but i done forgot who it was  :pullinghair:. Anyways I am looking forward to seeing your body work.

I am doing a similar build 318 to 5.7 hemi lol. That being said the upgrades that I have decided should be done is body stiffening (sub frame connectors, inner fender braces, under radiator brace) better suspension components (stockish suspension with hotchkis sway bars, and better shocks), and I am going to put in a dana 60 rear end. A lot of people say you don't need a dana 60 for what I am doing but I figured better safe than sorry....that and I already have the rear end lol. I am also going to be building up the 5.7 hemi, goal is 500 hp and 500 tq with 20mpg lol. A newer 5 speed is definitely in the planning.

Will defo put up pictures soon along with body work on quarters as well - I was already thinking of the same upgrades with chassis stiffening and suspension ;) - chassis stiffening Ive already purchased and fabricated most of the same kit XV sells :) in terms of suspension Im probably gonna go with Just suspension "the works".

does anyone know what transmission my stock 318 1970 barracuda comes with? my understanding is a torque flight? What upgrades should I do? Im in the dark with this one.

I got my chassis stiffening components from XV too. All I can say is the sub frame connectors are going to need quite a bit of work to make them fit if they are anything like mine. The inner fender braces and under radiator brace should fit with no problems. That being said I have dealt with XV's customer support on a few occasions and their customer support is horrible. I hope these parts work out for you but I honestly wouldn't suggest spending to much more money on them.

It`s probably a 904 which is a smaller/weaker model. You should probably upgrade to the 727 model or there are plenty of other options including 5 and 6 speeds.
