Anyone here interested?
I am selling my 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T project car. This car came from the factory as Plum Crazy Purple with white interior and white R/T stripes with a 383, 4-speed, and 3.91 axle package (A31). Factory options include Shaker hood (N96), hood pins, Go-Wing rear spoiler, and bucket seats with no console. Have the original fender tag but no build sheet.
I believe this car originally came from Cowboy Dodge in Cheyenne, WY and by the late 1980s was in Texas. I have pictures of the car from the late 80s and it was already red with a black stripe, as it sits today. It is very solid, but will need body work at the lower corners of the rear window, behind the driver-side rear tire on the lower quarter panel, and the driver-side inner fender has some damage. The lower bar of the radiator support has a dent also, so I’m assuming maybe the car ran over a tire or some kind of debris that damaged both, neither area will be difficult to fix. Frame rails and floors are all very solid with no signs of rust.
Parts I have with the car:
1971 383 block, core 4-speed transmission (neither is original to the car), Rallye dash cluster, bucket seats, back seat, original 71 shaker hood (will need some rust repair along the front of the hood), original hood trim ring, factory shaker grilles, original scoop, original shaker outer base ring, NOS shaker base plate, Holley 6193 carb, original radiator, original 71 Go-Wing with new support pedestals and hardware, unique 383 shaker support rod and wingnut, and more misc parts. Overall the car is pretty complete.
I bought this car several years ago from Dallas and it has been in storage in my garage since then. It will be an amazing car once restored. I won’t have time to restore this car myself for the foreseeable future and have one old Mopar to keep me busy. Located near Muncie, Indiana.
Sold.
