TA scoop in steel
« on: January 20, 2012 - 08:54:47 PM »
I posted this in my resto thread, but I wanted to get it out to a wider audience as well in case other folks are interested. As I've said elsewhere, I spent years tracking down the guy who makes TA scoops in steel. I finally found him, and my scoop is finished; pic below.

That's actually a pic that the builder sent me, but when it gets to Tony I'll have him take a bunch and post them here.

Really nice, Dave!   Does this guy do this regularly or is this a one off type of deal?  :clueless:

A local friend has one (looks real good!).  He's been trying to sell it if you want one.  PM me for his info.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I've been looking for one for a few years.  I have a mint flat hood that needs the scoop.  I'm not really happy with my fiberglass repop on the car now and I wouldn't mind steel.  I'd like to know how much they're going for as well.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

2012 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic Blackberry Pearl.

He does all sorts of custom work in steel. I remember that he used to offer six pack scoops, but the rest of the lineup escapes me at the moment.

Definitely not cheap, but if it's what you want, worth it. This little baby goes for $1100. I THINK that includes shipping, and since the guy is in South America, shipping isn't inconsequential.

During my years of tracking this down I was told that only one had been sold previously, to a collector. Whoever it was who told me this said "If you can track him down, he'd probably want to sell it"
