The subject title would have been better if the following had been added.

    :For target practice.
:to test napalm on with my new flamethrower.
: to punish my son for his first car.
: to see how long will float if I drive into a lake.

Wow...can you guys get beyond the name?  I looked this at this from an engineering perspective and thought it was cool that Toyota and Porsche are doing GT-Series racing in high performance hybrids...not to mention LeMans.  You're acting like its a Prius off the lot.  I'm far from a tree-hugger, hybrid/EV lover, but appreciate racing technology/development.  I've been away from this site for a while and things have changed  :walkaway:

:violin: OK, now you can go back to Prius bashing...BTW, I personally like the MK-19  :grinyes:

Racing is cool and I got airborne today in a 9 horse cart at sycart when a co-racer tried to bury me in the wall, I managed to land it smoothly and take the lead:...    But puting a prius in the race circuit is just a spitting insult to the industry!! :eek4:  Soon we'll have del sol monster trucks, aztec sprints, and geo metro nascars.

When my kids see a Prius they yell "egg" and then the color. It all started out one Easter Sunday after a beach trip. No Easter egg hunt that morning so on the way home my kids started calling out Prius's as eggs for their "hunt". Kind of like playing slug bug now only with Prius's. It really seams to irritate people driving a Prius when my kids point at their car in a parking lot and yell "EGG!".

LOL Ok I admit it does look good  :-[, well better than a stock Prius. It's just what the car stands for in our culture that I hate. But I won't get into that as it's political and we are not supposed to go there in here!  I feel the same way about the "smart car".
I too love LeMans and Rolex racing! I was a rabid Nascar fan for years ( actually I'm a "Nacasar" tech official at a local track) but since the Lumina "stock car" racing has been a thing of the past and Nascar turns me off now. I might watch 2 races a year on TV . Money and politics have been their downfall.

I like just about any race car,  gas/ diesel/ electric, whatever.... as long as it`s fast.  Too bad the had to call it a prius  :faint: :eek4:   sounds soooo sad lined up next to a Porsche GT3R

as far as electric race cars go.... I just love this little brave car....
