OK, since a football thread was started, who decides how a name is pronounced?

Not to be a sick little monkey, but watching the game, watching plays go on, and the punter for the Ravens (#4) Sam Koch was called out on a few Plays.
Uuuummmm... why did they keep saying Sam "Cook". That's not the way I would say it.

Now I'm done

PS - good game, hope the second one is as good.

That's how I would have pronounced it. Though I have heard it pronounced kach(long a).
If I cant fix it, it's broke

That's what they said in 2007.   ;)

Let me repaint the picture, on one side, an undefeated team (during the regular season) and on the other, the Superbowl Champs; The Giants.  Should be a great rematch!

Licking my wounds today after the 9'r loss. I thought for sure they could do it.
A couple of bone head plays and bad throws killed them.  :banghead:

They'll be back the defense is strong.

:( I feel for ya mike.i was hoping the big show was gonna be 49ers vs ravens.at least your team was in the playoffs.
my team "vikings" were in the bottom of the barrel at 3-13.
one play away in 2009 to make it to the superbowl and two years later look at em now.got a feeling it's gonna take years for them to even make the play offs again with the nfc north now being so tuff......  :faint:

Kyle Williams made 2 horrendous errors that cost the 9'rs dearly. Now he's getting death threats. The fans out here are demanding perfection yet overlook we are only human and it's only a game.

The fact that the offense only completed 1 for 13 on 3rd down certainly is overshadowed by what Kyle did yet that seems to be the real issue why they lost.

And then the kicker on Baltimore. He didn't get death threats so far to my knowledge.
He looked to be kicking it at a very bad angle prior to kicking it. I had a bad feeling right before he missed it.

Great men rise from the ashes of the errors they made from their past.
Let them learn from it and let them grow from it.

Hope it becomes as exciting as the last Superbowl they met.

I was really hoping for Niners-Ravens, just to have both Harbaugh brothers coaching against each other.  And to root for Alex Smith - he was the QB on my daughter's HS football team, paired with Reggie Bush in the backfield.

Instead, I have to hold my nose and pick either Belichick (ughh) and Brady to win a fourth SB or Manning to win a second.  But since I hold a grudge against Eli Manning after he and his father dissed San Diego out of college, I'll go with the Pats.

Good thing there's lots of good commercials.
