OEM Rear Sway Bar End Link Length
« on: January 25, 2012 - 02:19:28 AM »
Can anyone give me the length of the OEM (or Firm Feel) end link?  I just got my hands on an OEM rear sway bar that is missing some components.

More specifically, can you provide me with dimension "A" in the attached image?

Thank you,
Evan

Rear link center measures 3"
FYI front measures 1 3/4"

Great!  Thank you!

So you're saying "A" is 3 inches, making the center-to-center distance (from sway bar to mount pad) about 4" or so?

Thanks,
Evan

Are you trying to be as correct as possible or don't you care about looking factory correct?  The rear end links weren't just a bolt with a spacer like the front.  It was accually a stud with threads on both ends.  New rear end link kits are available but they are spendy at around $55.  A bolt/spacer will work just fine...it just won't look stock.

I would love to have the factory correct setup, but I also realize those kits are $$$ which is why I plan on just getting the Energy Suspension end links.  I was unsure which length I should get...

Thanks!

For a lot cheaper, you can use the FRONT sway bar link from 69 B-body for REAR E-body sway bar link.

MOOG Part # K8266

Thanks for the tip.  Any idea how long the spacer in that guy is?

It's a bit off-topic, but anyone have an alternative part number to the Energy Suspension 3/4" greasable sway bar bushings?  I've attached a pic for reference.
