cuda options question, anything I may be missing?
« on: January 25, 2012 - 02:20:40 PM »

removing paint I noticed holes along the rocker and then was made aware by you guys that all cuda's had wide molding on bottom edge.

last night noticed holes along the inside of wheel well edge on the quarters ....  guess the car also had factory chrome trim before in was repainted two times. (standard on cuda?)

this got me thinking, is there is anything else I should look for as options maybe not listed on fender tag?  standard or non.

Are side view mirror housings also chrome?

turning out to be a cool car out of the factory, as far as I can picture it...  deep burnt orange, lower gill trim, crome trim, white and black interior  :swaying:

Thanks all !

different options on the fender tag will incorporate numerous add ons.

I do believe the rear view mirrors would have been chrome.

Do you have a picture of your fender tag options somewhere on the site?

I usually omit the vin number when I don't have the car tagged and registered.

If the car is tagged, then no one can really do anything with the vin number.

It doesn't hurt to remove it though.

Otherwise, there are lots of folks who do nothing to remove the vin number.

Now that is one sweeet car!!

The anticipation of reading that 70 bh code was killin me.

That's a pretty cool car too!

I have to ask.  What does the factory tag that is attached to the bh fender tag have on it?
Any stamps or cut outs?

I just noticed the BH car has a build date of July 30th.  wow, that might one of the last '70's built!

I can't wait to see your FK5 6-pak car when it is done!  that is going to look great!

thanks guys

The BH was built on my birthday... but it's a few years younger     it's all original, except for a second coat of yellow.   I bought it as a parts car for $1,200 in the 90s,  after picking up the six pack car.     hunter, I'll see what is attached... it's a good factory reference car.

M88   Quarter Panel Tape Treatment is not the correct decode for a Cuda. It is the chrome molding surrounding the rear taillight panel.
