The True Trac is good but I prefer the Auburn - locked at the light ready to go - 4 year warranty. Each to there own though, all about luck and experiences. I sell them both - just a guess but sell probably 10:1 in favor of Auburn for muscle car use( could be a biased salesman tho )   :working:

Auburn is a cone type but will eventually wear out & lose grip
the Tru Trac is a worm gear system that by gear angle forces the wheels to turn equally under power but free wheel with input back from the tires such as going around corners , personally I prefer the simple design of the tru trac

I have been doing a lot of reading on this lately.  I am no expert but I would choose the Eaton True Trac.

Both very streetable units. Both not rebuildable once worn as the case will wear as well. Both very good units.  :ylsuper:

the Auburn is locked all the time & has to force the cones to turn to go around corners , the Eaton is different is is basically unlocked with  wheel input so it offers no drag cornering  so again my vote is the Eaton unit

So the pro is more like a spool, the motorI'm installing has 600 rwhp but will the tru trac hold up it ?sounds like the pro is more for straight line stuff the way I'm setting this car up is for all types of fun street, strip, auto x,ect I don't want a spool type

Auburn works very well on street as well - opens on corners, and yes performs very well in a straight line. I have run the Auburns for 15 years and lovem. I have never run the True Trac but people love them too............ :dunno:
