Magnum 500 rims
« on: January 26, 2012 - 04:06:11 PM »
Has anyone seen a Magnum 500 style rim available bigger than 15in. I would really like some 16in rims but am in love with the magnum 500 style.
I have seen a set of 17in mag 500s for sale. However, the interior design was the same size as on the 15in rims and they just made the rim bigger by adding a bigger rim around the outside, leaving the black interior look small and out of proportion.
Has anyone seen Mag500s in 16 in with the right proportions? Is there somewhere that would custom make rims without costing too outrageously much?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

American Racing make a set called the Vintage 500 (or VN500) ... as do Wheel Vintiques, however there's is made out of Billet, and much more expensive.

Here's Roland's Challenger with 17x7 American Racing Vintage 500's. Dead sexy!

I love that black Challenger!

I messed around with possibly fitting 2003-2004 Mustang Mach 1 rims on my car and gave up.  They look like Magnum 500s but in 17" but gave up as the center hub hole was too small and the back space was off by about an inch.  Plus after looking at them next to other rims they actually didn't look that good, IMO.

overall I like them, but they look a little "off"  but you have to expect that when you get to a certain size ... same with the ralley rims

Just checked out those sites. By the looks of it they both make a 17in rim that appears to be the right proportions. Didn't find a 16in rim in that style on either site... :clueless:

Those rims on Roland's Challenger are 15x7? they look bigger in the picture. Do you know what tires they are carrying?

If those are 15s maybe I don't need to be looking for anything bigger. I know 17s are too big for the look I want. Never found any 16s offered yet.

That was indeed a typo. They are 17's. Sorry about that.

It does appear that those 2 companies skip 16" wheels however there are 16" Magnum's out there:
