Ya with a dwindling supply of chassis around here due to rust we have had to let more fabricated stuff in.

That's pretty cool and is a requirement if you're going to let vintage iron race. I'm glad to hear at least some tracks are interpreting adn adjsuting rules  in such a manner. None of them in my area are that proactive.

Looking at those pic, they already are getting the camber dialed in. Did they relocate the K frame in relationship to the  shock mounts postion to stretch the wheelbase and add some caster?

Ya it is nice to see something other than a GM G-body car at the track. Most people stick with what's common or what they know. It's nice to see Darcy "daring to be different"  I wish someone would built an older Ford too!
They located the K-Frame buy wheelbase measurments and with the torsion bars in. The upper a arm mounts /shock towers were placed in position" afterwards"

How much engine set back is allowed? With that K frame location, it looks like it is going to be a bit far forward, if using the stock mounts. Most of the classes I've run required the 1st spark plug to be in line between the two upper balljoints, which looks about right if you fab up some mounts or use a motor plate.

Ya the car came with all those bars out back.  No engine set back is allowed ( stock) but it may be lowered any amount (without cutting/modifing the chassis)
Ya the ball joint rule is what we use in late model but not street stock.
I'm kinda pumped up to see this thing out on the track beating up the Chevy's!

I entertained fantasies of building a mopar for our local track, but I got so tired of tearing up cars and the politics were getting out of hand, so I quit oval tracking all together. Now I'd like to build a car similar to this for road racing with NASA.

Did they angle the rear spring mounting points like the OEM E body layout? Are you allowed to use bearing end shocks in street stock?

Yep the rear springs are angled like stock. No bearing ends on shocks for this division. Most use rebuildable/revalveable QA1 shocks, They are to fit in the stock location. We allow them to "shim" the mounts so they don't bottom out.

I have flipped my rear lower shock mounts over to move the mounting pin up about 2". you need to grind the lip so the sprign sits flat, but it does tuck everything up nicely that way.

Well Darcy scored a brand new SRT hood off Kijiji, and is starting to piece together the body work....
