Off Topic: Need help on a battery over in EU. sent to CA.

I work for Interstate.

Earlier this week, a customer has a motorcycle that is made over in U.K. Called a Martin Concepts. It's made for a wheel chair person to drive. Very unusal looking.

Situation I have is that this battery group size in unavailable in the U.S. I called Johnson Controls here in the U.S. and they said no such battery equivalent made.  So I would need one shipped to me to Santa Clara, CA 95030. I'll need shipping info. and price to tell customer.

 It's a Varta b35.

I have a local place here looking called total battery. Thought maybe being in Canada they might have something? I'll let you know?

The battery you are looking for is typically found in Europe. The closest battery I can find that come even close to the dimensions you are looking for is a Odyssey PC1200. Dimensions are 200 x 170 x 173 so you would have to place it on it's side (which is fine for the battery as this is a sealed non-spillable type). Current cost is $215.00 and you will most likely need the SAE terminals which are about $10 for a pair.

I called the Varta dealer around the corner.  He stocks the B35.  Price is 80 euro ( $106 )  and shipping will be 112 euro ( $148 ).  I do wonder if they will airfreight an acid bomb...?

There might be some Hazmat, I don't know. It's a sealed leak proof batery. There are bags that are specially made for batteries just in case.

I sent my customer the quote. Now I wait to see if he buys it.

I even called Johnson Controls who makes the Varta and they said none available in U.S.
