71 Barracuda Rare Optioned Car For Sale
« on: February 03, 2012 - 11:30:20 AM »
Listing this for my dad:

1971 Plymouth Barracuda. This car was ordered from the factory with some rare combinations. As the story goes the man that ordered the car bought it for his son to drive to high school. He wanted the looks of a Cuda' but without the big motor so his son didnt hurt himself or get in trouble. So he ordered the car with the 'Cuda hood and the 'Cuda fog lights for the car but kept the base slant 6 motor and base interior. This is all documented on the build sheet.
Car runs and drives awesome, take it anywhere. Paint is very, very nice. Interior is nice. Under the hood is all original and very presentable. Call 828-421-4018 for more info. Email ssdandp@yahoo.com
Car is located in Franklin, NC

Asking $28,500
MINE
1970 Dodge Challenger T/A
THE OLD MAN'S
1970 Plymouth Cuda Vert

I'd love a /6 for a daily driver... but a '71 Barracuda would still have me worried every time I left it somewhere.

Very interesting set of options though.

I like it slant six.  In looking at those offered for sale, gets old when all your seeing is clones.  That's about all you see out and about anymore, most not good ones at that.  Sticking stripes and spoilers and all from various years.  Some look great, just gets old I guess.  Only my humble opinion.

Now, an all original unmolested slant six, clean and green with no spoilers and stripes stuck all over it.  Sweet.

Very nice looking original car.  I wish you luck with the sale and hope it finds the right home.  Wish mine was it...

12K less and i'd own it... paid in full.  30 is way too much for a six banger w/o the gills IMO.   Seriously though... I'd buy it for 16K.
