Well, I will be getting pictures of the inside soon.
Will also be checking frame rail measurements and making sure the collision damage is only on the skin.
More pictures and information to come.

He wants too much right now.  But I have not had a chance to help him see the current light of our economy.
He's selling  because of this economy.
His price is the same as it was back in the hay day.  Too much.
I tried to buy this about 8 years ago.

My wife said she would drive any hot rod I gave her as long as it was pink.
So, this might be a good test for her.

So, I talked with the guy some more.
Car is in pawn down in the front range of Colorado.
He is gonna stop by and tell me the history on the car.
Then when he gets it out of pawn I will be able to take pictures of every square inch.
Including measurements to see if any collision damage is serious.
Wish I could just go and see it but this is the circumstances.

Tear it up.  The more opinions I can get the better.

Its a cool car and looks like a solid foundation but it still needs a ton of work. You need to buy it cheap to make it worth while. It needs quarters, doors , fender work, the driver side inner structure/quarter window stuff will be smashed. I'm pretty sure the frame is going to need some type of straightening smoewhere. Not sure about trunk pans, floor pans, inner fenders, cowl???? All I'm saying is don't get completely blinded by the PINK it's still a 318 car that needs a ton of work.

Looks like it took a hit in the front end too, bumper is tweaked, hood is smashed down. doors into fenders? Looks like a ton of work to me? What doesn't it need might be a shorter list? no? :dunno:

This car runs fine.
He drove it up a mountain last year when we had a big party!
21 miles up to 10,000'.
Had no problems.
Drives regularly.

Anyway, he says he has two front range fellas that have offered 6 K for the car.

I told him to take it and run!

At that price, I will have to pass for sure.
I invited Jay (the fella that owns the car) on to this forum to read this post.
I hope he does.

:iagree:  I would have to agree, maybe a tad more but not much more than $3k.  Although it can be driven around as a cool daily driver and such as it is, to fix it up would require replacement or repair of every body panel on that car.
