I actually LOVED this car, I know its a 'fake', but I couldn't find and build it for what it sold for....

even if I hit the lottery I would not buy a real hemi car,,I would build my own,,hell if I had a real hemi car I would drive it  and not show it on a stage,,the rich never enjoy there cars they fight to see who has the rarest,,its a waste,,the hobby is to build an drive for me  :2cents:

 :iagree:

Amen brother. I would love to have a true Hemi but she would never be a trailer queen. whats the point of having a rare/valuable car and using it as a status symbol... These cars are made to be driven, not sit in storage for the next show. Its a crying shame for a beast of a motor like the 426 Hemi to be only used to back out of a trailer.

Thats a sweet car!!! I got nothing against a fake... Just advertise it that way. A clone is fine as long as you aren't faking anyone to think its numbers matching or original. Clones make it so poor guys like me can afford a sweet E-body! I would take that "fake" Hemicuda any day!! Its just as fast!!! Better yet, I would take the engine and drop it in a chally!!!  :poopoke:  :misbehaving:

He reverse engineered it from build sheets, fender tags, former employees, documents etc.

It was probably a ton of work, and something he definitely deserved to be compensated for.  Unfortunately once the knowledge of decoding became available to the public, that particular service became a lot less valuable.

Now he is more of a "seal of approval".  His documentation is supposed to certify that the fender tag/broadcast sheet/window sticker/etc is legit.  In the high end collector car world, his name does still seem to carry some weight.

ok, sounds fair to me he charges for his services, it obviously took a lot of time and efford to gather all info.  I think things went wrong when ego grew above his head. No matter what business you`re in, if you don`t keep clients happy ,you go down.
