Since mine's in pieces as I rebuild it, it's name varies between "that P.O.S." and "that S.O.B." depending on how much misery it's giving me at that particular moment. Maybe I'll call 'er Gert, like the wife, since they're both contrary, obstinate creatures, but I love 'em both anyways.

My old Challenger...I'll be honest here. I call it Jennifer. Because it has been scientifically proven that all girls named Jennifer are babes. And it most definitely has PMS problems.

My 70 has just been refered to as "the other woman". I spend all my time and $ on her

The wife named her 2011 Challenger Foust, she's kinda got a thing for Tanner......  :clueless:

ARGH!!   :faint:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk_Works

"Have Blue" was the code name for the F117 when in development

If anyone gets a chance, read the book "Skunk Works" by Ben Rich, it will make you cry.
You don't need to be a engineer, scientist, pilot, or military to 'get' what this book is trying to teach.

Hmmm..I thought I replied to this but I guess it didn't go through...

Thanks for the info, Laurie!

I don't as a rule name my cars.
But I decided to keep the name of my '66 Plymouth Fury VIP which the former owner named... Pauline.

I'm thinking naming her "Haley" since the last time she was running nice was when Haley's comet was here.

Seriously, she was last running back in early 2000's.

Back in the 80's she was Christine. She would fix her rattles and issues running quite often.

Skunk Works Challenger?  Someone asked so I will try to give a short answer to a longer story.  My former boss was a cerebral, well read historian with a photographic memory.  He could read a book and practically recite it back to you. He could tell you who, as an example, teams played in the 1948 world series, the starting pitchers, all the base positions, the final score, get the picture?  Well, he couldn't put gas in a lawn mower without screwing it up.  He was in awe that I could restore cars, repair about anything etc.  After visiting my shop and just having read the book  about Kelly Johnson and the Lockheed "Skunk Works"  he started calling my shop The Skunk Works.  So, when I signed onto this website and was in the middle of restoring my Challenger I thought a good handle would be "Skunkworks".  I combined the title into one word just to simplify.  Actually I call my car "The Challenger".  PK

Great story, Kelly and Ben would approve!
Have you gone to the LM on line store to get something skunky for the chally?
