The one you'd love to have back !
« on: February 09, 2012 - 03:05:17 AM »
I was just looking through the other posts and I didn't see this one. Have we ever talked about the one we miss the most, and why she's gone? I know I'd give anything to have my 70 Plum Crazy R/T SE back home.

I sold the red 73 Challenger that you see in my avatar. It was a great car that never gave me any problems. Sold it to buy a 70 RT which I thought was my dream car. The dream is more of a nightmare. I have sunk a ton of $$$ into it and it is still not roadworthy.  :horse:

Man if I could take it back I certainly would.

I wish I had my first car back,  it was a 70 challenger 318 motor, origionally a blue car with blue interior but it had been painted a metallic salmon color with that seventies sparkle flake crap.  The interior was painted over black and would come off in chunks lol.   I had no license and she was full of rust but I was doing the best I could to get it road worthy.  I had to sell her for my plane ticket from Boston to Cali in '83.  I hear she never got put back on the road :(

The irony is my mother drove the car from Boston to Cali and had the car driven back for me to have, unfortunately the trip back used her all up and it was her last.

My Challenger has been my dream car since I was 16. Of the ones I've let go, I do wish I had my 71 Javelin back.

I had a 70 Cuda 440 6 barrel 4-speed I bought in the mid 80's. It was a orange with black interior no console or power steering. The original engine was long gone with a 67 440 in it's place. It had 15x7 rallye wheels and power disc brakes. I bought it for $3,300 needing a master cylinder and sold it in 1989 for $6.500. I wish I never would of sold that one as the body was in very good shape only needing a new trunk floor.

I had a beautiful 1993 300ZX Convertible that I miss dearly. I sold it because the wife said it had to go if I wanted to get my Challenger.

Wife ended up leaving me 2 yrs later.

My first car, it was a 70 Duster 340 auto, yellow with black vinyl roof and pedestal spoiler. Cost $800.00 in 84 or my next that was a 71 Duster 340 3 speed brown. also $800.00.  That first one is still the fastest car I have ever had.

1969 Pontiac LeMans convertible.  Had a 350, buckets, His N Hers shifter.  Was very stock except fo the GTO front bumper.

Bought it to play with when I was like 20, never had a chance to work on it before I had to sell it.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
