I talked to Ralph 2 days ago.  NO SRT Dart is in the lineup right now.  They have the 5 cars they want right now, and when something moves out in a few years they might bring in the Dart.  But not for atleast 2-3 years.

Did he mention a Cuda?

He did.  We actually had a long discussion with the Ralph, Beth and the head of the SRT planning and development.  And the short... the next Charger/300 will probably be on some sort of combination of Fiat/Alpha/etc... platform... But FIAT doesn't have a 4-door RWD platform at the moment (which the Challenger/Cuda) would be based off of.

So while there will be some sort of platform coming eventually that will be developed in house that will be RWD and have 2-doors (not including the Viper), don't expect it for a few years.  Which means no Cuda or Challenger atleast until 2015 or so.  Which means the Challenger will be killed off probably in 2013 or 2014 for a few years like they did with the Viper as to develop a new model.

But he did say one thing that was really interesting.... We have been resurrecting some classic name plates... you never know what might pop up next (he then smirked).  So we shall see.

You can see some of the videos I took talking to Ralph, Beth and the SRT guy about this at my YouTube Channel below.

I'm worried. This looks like there will be a FWD Charger again.

The La Femme perhaps? I mean, if a muscle car name like the Charger is going to be FWD they might as well go all the way.

Why bother?  If they can't make a 300hp, AWD Dart to compete w/say, Subie WRX or Mitsu Evo or FOcus RS, then it'll be just a torque steering turd.

I just got my Mopar Action mag . I like it . I find myself looking for a new car and at $60.00 per week currently for gas and rising  I need mileage . The article didn't mention mileage so I thought oh no . A few minutes on line and I found 40 mpg . I will be looking closer this summer . I already have my fast car now I need mileage . You figure I currently get 18 mpg with my SUV and at 40 mpg I'll save about $35.00 per week or $140.00 for 8 months and $175.00 per month for 4 months per year . Not sure what a monthly payment would be but its getting better every day as gas goes up .  :2thumbs:

It doesn't really get 40 mpg.  That was a little lie they told.  Gets mid-30's highway and cruising.

I thought that after the recent B.S. with the window sticker lies about mpg, lying was no longer really possible since they changed testing procedures.
