New Challenger Owner
« on: February 12, 2012 - 11:56:01 PM »
Howdy, well my friend beat me to the forum, so I thought I would point you all to his post.   I purchased a 1973 Challenger in June and we have been in the process of restoring it 'back to stock' appearing as we can reasonably make it.  Well, not so much 'We' as  SRH76 http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?action=profile;u=20883 has.   I mostly have been doing part research, tracking down parts on forums and eBay and cleaning parts to be restored.  That and spending the money!  My friend, who made this post below is the real hero here, doing all the mechanical, painting and restoration work.

Talk a look, there is my baby!  It has been under restoration since November, the engine is nothing short of spectacular a transformation.  It was pretty rough and filled with a lot of aftermarket junk and uncared for.  Looking forward to getting it back on the road soon!

Hey Larry! Wow, I have pictures of your Cuda saved on my computer!!!  It was one of the only other Black/Gold combination E-Body cars I had seen.  I was looking at finishing up the paint job the previous owner started, but did not finish, and was looking around for some other Challengers and Cuda's that had similar colors! You have a beautiful car!  Thanks for the welcome!

And by request, another picture...

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
