 :iagree:  I kinda like the digital gauges, but the grey may be too much....okay, it's too much.  Black would look a lot better!

Lose the guages , they are junk
that hemi probably puts out about 100 hp with those air cleaners on it, try hitting the dyno with those , mostrestrictive AC you can get  & the carbs arn`t exactly a good choice either

You guys ARE BRUTAL ! I will accept CP's apprasial of the performance mods, but honestly the only thing I'd change would be to remove the hood decals, they are on the verge of ricer material. I would have spent the resto money a little differently too, but come on, that's a nice car guys.......really !

I'm with JS27N0B.... :thumbs:

hey, everyone has their opinion.....in my eye, it's a car done counter to my taste. Now if it was at a show, you'd never hear me make a comment to the owner except to say "Nice car" When I'm laying down my hard earned $$, then i'm buying what I want.

Burpin likes everything cept the fake shaker hood. and the decals. and the tail panel has to be blacked out. and the hood has to be the same color as car.

NZ, yeah but STILL automatics are for grandmoms  :grinyes: :grinyes:

And NOT always so that in the 1/4 mile automatic is faster... our fellow countryman drives Stock Car with Jerico (clutch tranny), he's driving high 9's!!! Even guys in US are wondering how he's doin' that with the stick car while they drive with the same car low 10's w/ automatic!!!!!

Maybe so but it's just pure racing fatc.

Auto = Bracket
4Speed = Fun

Consistent quick 1/4 mile times is the name of the game. Seen those Jericos, they are good but even an experienced driver looks clumsy and you can see that car hopping along the tracks when changing gears.  :laughing:
Considering 70% of all Challengers and Cudas were purchased with TF-727's maybe this isn't the hobby for you then? LOL!!  :laughing:
Back in the strip in the era Torqueflites could not be beat.

NZ   :nono:.. X-sp that's called driving  :grinyes: ... juts pulling ya leg a bit  :grinyes: :laughing:

I hate e.g. those new F1's when they have all electronics and paddle shifters and everything, it's nothing more than steering the car thru corners with the proper pedal.. well even that is computerized nowadays... so gool ol' kick clucth and gear shifter makes it DRIVING  :grinyes:

I might go to auto like with Super Bee/Roadrunner but I like Chally with manual.. even though I drive it quite conservative most of the time.. next summer it's gonna be a first 1/4 mile run with new engine and tires.

I believe driving is whats in the engine bay.  ;D The Torqueflite-727 is one awesome Automatic transmission combined with the Slap-Stik rachet shifter makes for great fun while cruising in Drive as just a click away. I would love both a TF-727 which I already have and a 4-speed, but then again I also want a full on street/strip car which would have to be Auto maybe I can get all three....Yeah right!  :-[
I admire the F1 transmissions (SMG) there works of art. Although driver aid gets less there is also the faster than you equasion, these cars are shifting 3 times faster than any race driver with the same car and a stick shift.

At the end of the day if it hauls arse and is a MoPar I'll drive it let it be 4-speed or TorqueFlite.  8)

I just like the enjoyment of the arm out the window, or hoping in and slamming it into Drive and flooring the crap out of it.
Yes it makes for easier driver and that in turn leads to more spectacular tricks eg: Stunt cars for the quickness of getting in and out of Reverse. No off throttle just floor it and keep it there.  :thumbs:

Let us know how your car runs. Be interesting, most of the articles you see in MoPar magazines shoot outs show the Autos always cleaning up.  ;D
