73 Barracuda for sale
« on: February 15, 2012 - 01:46:16 PM »
I really do not want to sell this car, but the military has left me no choice  :banghead:

1973 Barracuda clean title, project shape. Originally a 318 car, I have a 360 for it now. Also have the Auto tranny, both tranny and motor need rebuilt. Interior is out, do have the original back seat, visors, small things like that. The rest was a bad custom job, so it is gone. Do have the dash, and center consol, both need repairs. Front fenders are gone....last owner tried to cut fins in them, then bondoed them back up. Scrapped them, have the original flat hood, but it has some small rust spots. Drivers floor needs replaced, but the rest is good. Small holes in trunk floor, needs replaced or patched. Roof skin also needs replaced as well as trunk lid, and trunk drip rails. Small holes in 2 wheel wells that need replaced. All of the glass is good, and surprisingly the rear quarters are good, no rust. Took it in trade for an old bike I had, always wanted a Mopar, finally got it and now I am left with no choice but to sell. Looking to get $4000, that was what the bike was worth. If its not worth that, please feel free to fill me in, I have built many trucks and bikes but this would have been my first car. I think I got everything out there, but I am sure there is more. Car is located in Northern Illinois. you can reach me at foxman2182@yahoo.com for questions, suggestions, or anything else.

What is the fender tag readout?
Does it have a build sheet?

Looks like a decent project.
Can you get more detailed pictures of the car?

I am curious if the back of the fender tag is readable.
Usually if the front is toast you can get a reading from the rear.

Since you are trying to sell the car, I would suggest a few pictures of frame rails.
Trunk, interior floors.
The problem area with the roof.
The roof will be the are for most concern I think.

Like to see more of the trnk too.   Are you being relocated and can't keep her?  it's a shame your getting rid of her because of your service to our freedoms.  I thank you for that and wish you the best.

Yea I am relocating to TX and where I am headed there will be no indoor storage, so I cant keep her. If it was in driveable condition it would be going with us, but as she sits, no dice. I am currently away from my house, so as soon as I get a chance I will load the pics you guys suggested. Thanks again for all the advice.

To bad you have to sell your dream Mopar due to moving for the service. Thank you for what you do for our country. Wish I were closer to you, I am in Mi. I would offer to store it for you for free until you get back. Good luck on the sale & be safe.

Sorry it took me so long to get back, been a busy week/weekend. As far s where I will end up at the end of all this, I dont know. I will be in San Antonio at Ft Sam for a while, then maybe Ft Hood. Hopefully I can get her sold, need to put the money into my house, so I can sell it. No where to keep her, and needing the cash now, are forcing the hand. Thanks again guys.
