Stock AM with under dash Pioneer 8-track.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I'll probably eventually take my stock AM/FM and have it converted to new guts with an put for an MP3 player.

:I put in an aftermarket unit with no modifications to the dash. In the 98-GT I just installed a Sony digital media receiver, wish I had that in the Challey, no CD player but houses the iPod or MP3 device. There is one for as little as $99. at Crutchfield right now.

As noted on other threads, I left the stock radio in the dash and mounted a new one with all the fancy gadgets up behind it where it can't be seen (use the remote) and it sounds like I am in a concert hall with the help of FatMat & insulation.   6 x 9 spearkers mounted below the package tray along with two small speakers mounted up front under the dask pad grille.

When my car is done I will do the same with my original AM 8track radio.   :2thumbs:

I have both a modified factory am 8 track converted to hidden fm with ipod jack and pioneer selected my car during the power tour to do a custom  install at one of the stops.

For Free 2 amps head unit 6 new speakers and a sub. they did a good job of hiding most of it, I did have to sacrifice a nice set of kick panels for the lower front speakers but it was worth it for the improved sound.
cool little video they did with my goober mug...

My car is a factory radio delete so I have a hidden mini amp & I plug in an Ipod into the amp directly , I have a pair of 6x9 in the rear deck & a pair of small speakers under the front speaker cover .
Of course the Ipod quit after 3 months friggin garbage so I once again have nothing  :stomp:

factory (stock) am-fm stereo with 6X9's in rear window deck, 3 OEM speakers in dash.  most of the time the music is off.  I like the music my 340 makes.

Car was built with an AM/FM, but that was "upgraded" to an AM only.

I'd love to find an original Thumwheel AM/FM radio to put in some day.
