Recommend that you don't agree to hold the car for anyone unless they have a plane ticket headed your direction within the same week.  Otherwise you just loose other perspective buyers.

hi dave, i didnt take any pictures while the work was being done, but it has new fenders, new drivers quarter (skin ,not full quarter) pass quarter was repaired on the bottom ,both doors had small  2x3 patches welded in the lower fronts, there is not alot of filler on the car . i do have someone who wants to come look at it in a couple of weeks that is about 2 1/2 hours north of me so i was going to give him first shot since he called first, but i do have a few other people interested if he doesnt want it. if you want give me a call or have your customer call and i could answer any questions you guys might have.

if you have someone interested in it already then why sir the fire and post? 

why dont you let me know if all these others pass. It would be easier for you to let me know.  thanks

i guess i need to clarify that i am not holding the car for anyone, the reason i said i would give him first shot to look at it in a few weeks is because the car isnt ready right now, if it was that would be a different story (he is waiting for me) and if he calls or doesnt and says he cant make it when we talked about then thats it someone else can come. i have been building these cars since the early 80s so this isnt my first dance. and dave i dont know what you mean by" if you have someone interested in it already then why sir the fire and post?" you know how this works i might never hear from this guy again and i dont hound people to come buy my stuff so i said to call me if you guys had any questions or concerns so you would know if you were interested or not.
now chris i dont remember that car you have, i know you sent me pics of a few other cars you had but i dont think of this one. i dont know if i am up for a big project right now,plus i do need to put some cash back in the bank. i did talk to two guys wanting to trade plus cash, one was a 70 barracuda/$ and the other one was an 05 or 06 ram 1500 and $.

Ok I thought you knew the 71 Cuda Convertible I had. It needs a full restoration including the typical sheet metal. The rails, cowl rockers,under rear seat floor, and all the convertible stuff is all good. I have pretty much all the parts except for the new metal-it needs trunk, exts, a little wheel house work, front 3 floor pans, and lower quarters. I'm not sure if I want to get rid of it or not I'm just a little discouraged that another project is sitting untouched for months in my garage again. I'd really like to  have something decent to drive this summer. I was thinking of putting it together a bit and sticking it on ebay once and see what happens. I'd be willing to trade for something less valuable that runs/drives or is a real easy project but ideally I need to get some cash out of it also. Yours is probably not the one for me as I have had some expenses come up and could use some cash as well.

i hear ya chris. send me some pictures of the car i would love to see it. i used to have a 71 convertible, its the only car i still regret selling.
