Does MP Orange Box Mess w/ Tach?
« on: February 18, 2012 - 02:48:56 PM »
Saw The4ork's post about his tach and CP says that he probably needs a tach adapter.  We have a Mopar Perf orange box and a tach w/ an RT-Eng circuit board.  When the car is idling, the needle will fluctuate, sometimes down to zero.  Does the orange box interfere with the signal for the tach? Anyone know?

Just a note the FBO box affected the RT Eng. tack on my Challenger. It reads around 2000 at idle but re calibrates once the engine RPM's are up. I think they called it double spark at idle or something like that.

I have an RT-Eng tach and an MP orange box. My tach works fine, proper idle reading all the way up to 5k and no fluctuations at all.
