Puerto Rico car show pics
« on: February 19, 2012 - 05:41:48 PM »
There was a huge show in Puerto Rico this weekend. Saturday was mostly an auction day, so my wife agreed to go Sunday. She did really well, spending 4 hours with Mopar guys and checking out over 400 cars without complaining once. The elusive Puerto Rican Superbird wasn't there, but I did hear of a few confirmed sightings last weekend at a show that I didn't go to.

A steering wheel that I missed buying by 5 minutes :stomp:

2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible (Kidmobile)
1972 Dodge Charger 318 auto
1970 Challenger 440/727 auto
1973 Plymouth Duster 340/auto (Making it Panther Pink for the wife)
2006 Honda Civic Hybrid (It doesn't save gas, it just diverts it to the Cuda/Challenger)
In desperate need of more property for my growing Mopar family

The teenie peenie boys had to be locked in with ropes

This one drives to all the shows like this.

There are at least 6 Deloreans in Puerto Rico, who knew?

This one was just cool

No mas.

While I was hanging out with the Mopar boys I heard a cool story.

A guy bought a 70 Duster and decided to restore it. He sent some stuff to the U.S to get restored and got a phone call from the company. They asked if the parts were original to the car and he said yes, they asked a few more questions and then dropped the bombshell on him. His car was one of 6 Mister Norm cars from that year. Nobody knew where it was, but now they do.

:iagree:  I did a double take when I saw that!  It actually looks like a really nice job the way they did it, not just slapping a Cuda hood on a Challenger.

Were there pics of the Mr. Norms car?  Did I miss it in the pics?  :clueless:

Thanks for the great pics!

The Mister Norm car is still getting rebuilt.

The Cuda hood skin is slapped over the Challenger hood making it really heavy. They didn't go through the work that Renee did, cutting the section out and replacing it.

Here's a link to the 71 on the local classifieds http://www.clasificadosonline.com/UDTransDetail.asp?AutoNumAnuncio=3366241  There was a little body work done to it last year by the same guy that's doing my car now.

There was a whole tent of antique bicycles too, but it was so crowded I couldn't even get a picture. This coming weekend there's another show that my wife has agreed to go to, so I'll probably have a few more pics after that. I might even take Challenger if I can keep it from smoking like Cheech and Chong for the day.
