Hemicuda on B-J
« on: January 29, 2005 - 04:36:43 PM »
Well, there's the new high water mark for a 70 hemicuda....$305,000 today. Really beautiful car with "history".

This may get me flamed, but while these prices are not in the best intrest of those of us who are looking to buy a cuda/challenger now, I have no problem with the prices these people pay. This is a free-market economy, and B-J is a perfect example of how that works. I'm glad i have what i own now. Sort of makes my hemicuda clone more appealing to me than an original one....I'm not afraid to drive it!

I myself would only own a HEMI if I was into car shows etc I wouldn't own one to drive 2 times a week etc to dang risky.

Give me the 440 brothers or a nicely worked 340 anyday for fun, to modify and to enjoy driving!!  8) :driving:

I always wonder how they could allow a remote camera that close while weaving through a crowd of people.  :eekbig:

Does this really reflect current market trends when these cars are now going to be put into a museum and effectively out of circulation?  I though there were some bargains on Fri night, a 69 Hemi Runner for 60K for instance.

I think the pink/white top-int hemicuda that went for $600k (not in BJ; private I believe) is the high watermark for a 1970 hardtop hemicuda.

The thing about private sales is the $$ number can always be "suspect". People can say what something sold for and there is really no way to know unless you're privy to the transaction. If that car really sold for $600K, wow thats a LOT of $$! I did not add the B-J fees, thats an extra $49K to the number.
