Anyone installed a firm feel sector support kit? What did you notice afterwards

I'm not really sold on the effectiveness of it? I'm pretty fussy about adding weight to my car, especially the front end. I think gusseting and welding the steering box mounts and rewelding up the k-frame is much more effective...and it's free!

I was wondering this same thing.
First impression is that it should help in theory, not really sure it's needed or would be noticed though?

I think it would be effective and it is a reasonable alternative to welding up the bracing in the mount, which would require removing the engine and a host of other parts to access. However, it is expensive and heavy. If you question whether it would help, it depends. If you have wide front tires or run lots of caster, it may. To check have someone turn the steering while you watch the steering box. In the first few inches of travel it won't move much, but as you continue to add steering angle, it will start to move around.

I think I'll give a look at the "unscientific" method suggested by ebooger.
Curious to see how much the ps box moves.

Please do, I'm still on the fence.

Do you have a video phone, for before and after shots.
You'd think they would market it a little better, FF website doesn't really do a good job.

Nah. I'm not into pics or video and the builder will be installing it. All I can say is what it feels like before and after

Has anyone used Steer and Gear out of Columbus Ohio. They do an overhaul and conversion of the unit for 295.00.?
Thinking of droping mine off.

I don't have any proof, but I've always heard Firm Feel was the very best to go to. Others aren't nearly as good. I have a FF stage 2 box that I have not installed yet.

Mopar Action's Ebooger gave Steer and Gear the thumbs down, only recommends Firm Feel.  I have no personal experience.   :2cents:

Did he say why?
