I think it would be effective and it is a reasonable alternative to welding up the bracing in the mount, which would require removing the engine and a host of other parts to access. However, it is expensive and heavy. If you question whether it would help, it depends. If you have wide front tires or run lots of caster, it may. To check have someone turn the steering while you watch the steering box. In the first few inches of travel it won't move much, but as you continue to add steering angle, it will start to move around.
