Love it or hate it?
« on: February 23, 2012 - 02:12:31 PM »
I have always loved this car and wondered if anyone has the same feeling I do about it.  Have never seen it in person but believe that it still exists somewhere.

I'm gonna have to say I'm not a fan of this one.
Doesn't seem to be much substance.

I've never liked the really wild paint jobs, although this is a fairly tame example. My opinion is that these are the most beautiful cars ever designed, works of art in their own right, and not a canvas for creating some other vision.

that having been said, I do like the body mods, and the chick is indeed cute.

It's tough to decide if I like it or not. I like the mods I think, but the paint job takes away from the look of the car in my opinion. If I saw it in a solid color I might be able to be more decisive.

I maked love it.  It falls in the catagory for me that I really like that it was built, but it is not something that I would own.  The cars that they made for that old TV show the munsters are the same way.  I would go see them in a car show but I would never seek to own one.

Personally, I think auto styling kinda jumped the shark in the 70s.

The crazy fiberglass work... outrageous paint jobs, etc. What do you expect, though? Look at the clothes from back then... skin-tight sweater vests... bellbottom courderoys... freakin polyester leisure suits. Jeeze. Lol. (I do love my Tyler Durden-esque leather jacket that I got at a thrift store, though ;-)

But I digress...

Now... it's not Corvette Summer bad, but still...

I think the car is pretty cool looking.  the late 60s / early 70s loved doing wild things to cars.  I think it would look better in B5 Blue with HEAVY metal flake
- Older members here, do you remember the heavy metal flake painted cars?

- Oh, and the lady looks pretty sweet, too.  A bikini would have been the better atire for the pic and mood setting.

I like more of it than I hate.

I think it'd be much better without the stupid motor through the hood, silly side pipe things, and over wide rear tires.
