How old should you be to own a challenger?
« on: February 25, 2012 - 01:52:53 PM »
OK here we go.  My wife, who is 51 years old, chronologically, but 25 in her heart, has dreamed of getting a new Challanger ever since they came out.  I have been pushing her to do it but she is stuck on being that age and driving that car.  What do you think?  She has always been a muscle car girl since I met her. She has seen me go thru some great cars and I have always wanted her to have one.  Well we are almost there if she can get over this.  She has been looking everyday for at least the last 5 months.

Got my first Chally at 17 and my second at 19. The first was totaled when I was still 17. The other I still have and I'm 27 now. Still planning on having it when I'm 70

I think she's too concerned with being the perverbial "Old person" suffering from a "Mid life crisis"...Sorta like when you see old guys cruise up in a Corvette so old they can't even get out of it, yet they have some young chick in the car that prolly their long lost neice or something.

Not that this is a bad thing, it's just the social stigma that surounds older folks driving cars the younger croud want, but can't afford yet. Be prepared to get what I call "the look". If this doesn't bother you or her like it shouldn't, tell her to go for it.

If you can afford it. Go for it! No one gets to the end of their life and says.....I wish I worked more overtime!
Your a lucky man! My wife doesn't like muscle cars.

I bought my car when I was 16. I'm 50 now, but when I drive I still feel like I'm 16.

U only live once. I have seen many ladies driving Sport cars, including my wife.
My wife also is a muscle car girl. Age 7o this yr. 18 in her heart.
She drove our stick shift, 57 Chev until we sold it in 65   :pullinghair:
She has owned two mustangs.
Get on the Internet and start searching the car dealers.
If u find one 50 miles away go to your local dealer,
have it delivered to them. Yes, it can be done.
I purchased two, one out of state, delivered to our local dealer.

You can take the girl out of the muscle car, but you can't take the muscle car out of the girl! Sounds like she really wants to be put back in a muscle car! lol. If you were a wise man, you would oblige her - ain't nobody happy unless momma's happy! Good Luck!

MY wife loves them and would drive a challenger if I bought her one. I plan on another someday and it will probably be a chally. Anyways I am just afraid for the poor sum***** that cuts her off because she gets roadrage bigtime. That is why she likes big trucks she likes to have the choice of pit-manuevering the bastard off the road into a river!! She gets torked when other drivers do stupid crap on the road and cannot let it go!! I cannot stand to drive with her and have been working on it with her for years. I say hey don,t let it get to yah!!!,  just back off the gas and let the idiot get some distance and sing,.... I FEEL PRETTY , I FEEL PRETTY AND WITTY AND GAY!!! :roflsmiley:
