Actually no , the countershaft will not let the input shaft out , + there are 2 brg sizes , the larger Hemi & OD brg / 308 & the smaller 307 brg , if the brg retainer has an od 4.35 then the rear housing & main shaft have to be removed & the input shaft has to be removed into the case & out of the side cover & you need to drop the countershaft . On the 308 brg you have to remove the countershaft pin & drop the shaft down onto the case & unless you have a dummy shaft to hold all the brgs in place you will have to repack all of those as well , & you still need the dummy shaft to do that , then the input shaft can be removed out the front , might as well buy a brg kit & do all the brgs , thrust washers, syncros & gaskets while you are in there .
