Custom dash
« on: February 26, 2012 - 06:45:55 PM »
Being a fan of the Rocky Mountain dashes (no longer in business) I am encouraged to see the Mark one of the owners is starting to build dashes again under the new name of Peak Dashes. From the following link it looks like he is starting with A-body vehicles first. I hope he expands to E-bodies. Also looks like he is trying to keep the cost down as well.

As far as dah pads are concerned; nobody yet offers anything like this for E bodies.
Would be pretty cool if done tastefully.

Somebody was making plastic pods that go in place of the center speaker cover. I'll have to look for the link if there still around.

Heres a RMD cluster I bought over 6yrs ago.....still working on it!!! HAHA, for the price I  paid for this thing it sure requires A LOT of work to fit properly. Just finished building a wire harness for the autometers I am using, and now adapting the heater control panel into the lower cluster panel I tig welded in place of using the factory plastic pieces. Getting the lightbar to fit nice, switches and final finish are my next challenges!!

Dash looks good... I've been thinking of having more gauges in view...large mph, large tach.. then oil pressure, engine oil temp, volts, amps, fuel level, water temp, auto-trans temp, engine mfld vacumm, exhaust O2.  I don't need a radio.
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

If anyone knows of a custom dash place let me know.  I am seriously thinking of taking out the stock dash and putting in a custom one.
