Not sure on the first one. Second one is the stock connector for the wires that run down along the valve cover on the pass side. IE, alt wires, temp sensor etc

1st picture...

My 73 NON A/C car doesn't have those wires.  I just looked on my old harness.  My guess is that it has something to do with A/C.

2nd picture...

dodj is correct.  That's the factory connector.  This made for easy hookup at the factory.  The engines were completely wired up sitting on the K-members...then the bodies were dropped over them.  The only wiring hookups that needed to be completed were that large connector, the oil pressure wire, the tachometer wire and the NSS harness connector.

Hey Dave,

The last socket I had like that in the first picture was part of the delay light sub harness for a 70 Cuda dash harness I restored. It fed the key light that was a one year only light. However, there was only one yellow wire on that socket. Does the car have the light package delay wiring for the map light? The delay light sub harness could have been added in from a different car a long time ago.

Hey Dave,

Here are a couple of dash harnesses. The first two pictures are from a 70 and the second are from a 72+. That is ground side feeding the delay circuit. It is the connector on yours that is a bit different.

Hope that helps.
