67 Barracuda Notchback
« on: March 05, 2012 - 11:44:06 AM »
Roller, no interior, motor/trans.  Has chassis work done and prepared for pro street/strip use.  I'm looking at this as a project for a road/circuit car, not a drag car.  Not sure if the back half will work for my intended use....but if I can get it really cheap I might just get.  I just have no idea how to price this thing.....is it basically scrap value since so much is gone?  Would I insult the guy if I offered a grand?  I have no idea.....what something like this is worth

The dana, rims and slicks is worth more than a grand. Ladder bars and a cage adds to it also from a drag racing point of view along with what looks like a solid body , in most areas.   He may not agree to a grand unless he's hard pressed for money.  You may want to find a more solid type of body for your specific use. 1500  -2000 would be a good price if all the work was done correct :2thumbs:

Cool! Thanks for the feedback.  I was kind of thinking he's done too much to the car for a drag racing setup and I'd have to reverse much of what he has done, but was still going to look at it anyway.  He gave me a price of $1600 because he really needs to get rid of it and there has been no interest in it at $2K...that price seems pretty good and if the dana is out of an A/B/E body I might still get it for that alone.

Thanks again guys!

It's a truck dana....no snubber mounts :2thumbs:    Doc differential sells a factory looking weld on kit for the snubber.
